The Mad Connection

The Mad Connection
As I look at the window...It seems like a portal to another world. It is like a totally different place. It is so quiet, so serene, yet at the same time it is a dangerous, unforgiving world that does not care if it kills. The trees, the grass, the fields, the dirt. The sky, the clouds, the colors, and the storms. They are complete opposites. They are the definition of being totally different. But without either one, the other could not sustain. The trees reach to the skies and the clouds hover as close as they can. When it gets dark and the trees disappear from sight, the sky gets angry. “Where is my other half?” It says. It storms, it shows it’s unforgiving part. Flashing the sky with brilliant light, so beautiful, but dangerous. Children cower with their parents. Terrified by the noise emanating all around them. Also when the sky is no where to be seen. There is just an empty blueness with the lonely crow flying high. It too looking, searching for...its other half. The trees, the dirt, the grass, and all the other ground elements also get angry. They wage a one sided war against the humans. They destroy anything in their dangerous path. But when the ground and sky unite the make something amazing. Perfect unity it is. Both sides have their other. Everything is in sync. But then quickly the other is stole away. They are ripped apart from their other self, leaving the other empty, lonely, and sad. Then the vicious cycle begins. Going on a rampage, unstoppable by any man. All people can do is run for cover. Hiding in any place safe, but sometimes that is not even good enough. The other half rips apart a house, taking its anger out on the lesser. The water pours and dumps it’s contents destroying land and plants. This continues for as long the half persists. Afterwards there is always damage, but it takes two different appearances. One of them is unseen by the eye. It takes a toll on the people, affecting them mentally, and by mentally this affects there doings also. The people feel dreary and tired of this. They wish for the return of the other half to make things return to normal...for a while. And it physically affects them, they do not work. They laze around, too tired to do anything, except eat and entertain themselves. They spend money on accessories to help them laze. The part that is seen is the destruction. It destroys houses, ripping them apart, discarding the contents across the land. They are spread out, as if the other looking for its complete: searched every part of the house throwing objects in a blind rage. It also devastates land drowning it in its tears. Humans and animals alike try as hard as they can to avoid the storm. They cower in its presents, afraid to look, but then…,I think it to be quite funny, the humans go a time without a devastation. They get upset, they want the tears, they want it and when they get it they complain. Asking why does it keep storming, why oh why will it not stop?
This world...Need I say more? There is so much to write about this world.
Endless lists of how to describe the two halves, this union; it is a beautiful and it is dangerous.
This is just one example of how amazing God’s creation is. People over look it. Take it for granted. Over use its supplies. Making it go extinct. It is loosing its beauty. Now people care. Now people try to help. Now people try to be careful. They have just noticed that people should be grateful for what we have and how they should be cautious of how they use it. They get angry when some one does not follow the rules that they themselves did not follow only recently. This is all to known to the human race. They have followed this pattern throughout history, and the people enforcing the rules have been hypocrites since the beginning. They all have their places. But can they change them...can they respect the two halves...can they change?
